Spring 2015’s runway inspired looks for make-up, hair and nails.
Beauty trends are often informed by fashion designer’s inspiration for their collections. For many designers this spring’s runways highlighted the youthful energy of the early 1970’s. With the unstudied ease and rebellious spirit of this season’s bohemian influence, stylists are loosening up and emphasizing a playful attitude that’s perfectly imperfect.
This spring, get ready to stash your blow dryers – expect to see lots of beachy tousled waves, undone braids, and slicked back low ponytails. After several seasons of precisely applied matte make-up, we’re taking a shine to dewy, well-moisturized skin and bright pops of color on lips and eyes. Nails art is still trending, but now nude shades are highlighted with metallics – strips of bronze on a white nail, or rose-gold foil on a nude nail were clever highlights. Not sure about a metallic mani? Classic red and grey are also having a moment.
This is a moment for real-world women, easy breezy hair and barely there make-up? Most definitely a sign of spring.
